JAFTA/Porter-Christie Screenwriting Fellowship 2025!

Launched to build Jamaica’s capacity in episodic storytelling, this fellowship is presented in partnership with acclaimed Jamaican screenwriter Aisha Porter-Christie (Gen V, Daredevil: Born Again). The program provides mentorship, development support, and international exposure for writers developing original television or web series.

This year, fellows will benefit from mentorship with leading industry professionals including Aisha Porter-Christie and Thomas Wong - Writer, Producer (Daredevil: Born Again).

Fellowship Benefits:

•⁠  ⁠Eligibility for one of two grant awards of US $1,000 each
•⁠  ⁠Access to development labs and a one-week immersive Writers’ Retreat
 

Eligibility:

•⁠  ⁠Must be a Jamaican national, 18+ years old
•⁠  ⁠Must be an active JAFTA Member to apply
Submission Requirements:
•⁠  ⁠An original episodic script (TV pilot or web series, 30–60 pages)
